Restaurant missed-call opportunity calculator

Turn your call-log assumptions into a monthly estimate of missed calls and potential booking opportunities. Change every input to reflect your venue.

The starting numbers are illustrative examples, not industry benchmarks or Sadie performance results.

Your assumptions

Use your phone log’s average, including answered and unanswered calls.
Count the days your venue takes calls.
The share not answered by your team or current service.
Exclude opening-hours questions, existing bookings and other enquiries.
Of those booking enquiries, how many might become an additional booking? Allow for repeat callers, capacity and guests who book elsewhere.
Changes the currency label only. No exchange-rate conversion.

Estimated monthly opportunity

Based only on the assumptions you enter.

156estimated missed calls per month
46.8potential additional booking opportunities per month

From 780 estimated calls and 93.6 missed new-booking enquiries. Fractional results represent an average scenario.

This is not measured lost revenue, a forecast or a guarantee. Capacity, cancellations, repeat callers, staffing, fees and operating costs can change the outcome.

The calculation, step by step

  1. Monthly calls = calls per open day × open days.
  2. Missed calls = monthly calls × missed-call percentage.
  3. Missed booking enquiries = missed calls × new-booking intent percentage.
  4. Potential booking opportunities = missed booking enquiries × your assumed recoverable share.
  5. Optional gross sales = potential bookings × assumed diners per booking × assumed spend per diner.

Percentages are divided by 100. No estimated Sadie uplift, conversion rate or subscription cost is built into the calculation.

Make the estimate useful for your venue

Start with a recent week of phone logs. Separate new booking enquiries from changes, questions and repeat calls. Use a conservative recoverable share, then compare it with actual bookings and available tables.

Questions about the estimate

Does every missed call mean a lost booking?

No. Callers may ask a question, call again, book online or already have a reservation. The intent and recoverable-share inputs let you account for this. Avoid counting the same guest more than once.

What should I use for the recoverable share?

Use your own call review, follow-up results and table availability. There is no universal rate. Compare a lower and higher assumption to see how sensitive your estimate is.

Is the optional sales result profit or a promised increase?

No. It multiplies hypothetical bookings by your party-size and spend assumptions. It does not deduct costs, account for displaced bookings, or predict what Sadie will deliver.

Do I need to share contact details?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and does not submit these inputs to Sadie. Requesting a demo is a separate, optional step.
